  • Relax and Take Deep Breaths
Decompress is much more needed than we anticipate. Most of all need some time to walk it off. Whenever you feel like your patience level is dropping, make sure to take a walk to keep your mind off of those thoughts. The point is to make sure to find some time for you to decompress.
  • Stop doing things that are not important
We all have certain things in our lives that make us impatient. The point here is to stop doing those things that will make us impatient. What you need to do is audit. Audit your time schedule for the week or month and see the time you are spending on things from the time you wake up to the time you go to sleep. Look at the things that are going to take time to do but does not add much value yet make you impatient. Remove those items from your to-do list.
  • Be mindful of the things that make you impatient
Most of us nowadays have several tasks in our heads. Multitasking is good. But, Sometimes having so many things in our head does impact on our overall performance. We have interrupted our lives as we have so many things in our heads. The best way is to understand the tasks that make you impatient and write those tasks down. Once you do, make sure to have them audited again to not do them again. That way it would help you not to be impatient.
  • Make yourself wait
The best way to practice patience is to make yourself wait for certain things. A psychological study has shown that, making yourself wait for certain things not only helps to build up your patience but also helps to make you happier in the long run. To start with you can wait for a few more minutes to drink that milkshake and then keep moving on something bigger and bigger. This way, you will get more and more patience as you practice.

It is time we all slow down and practice a little more patience. We would be less stressed and more mindful of the things that stress us out. If that leads to being happier then isn’t it worth trying?
